57When it was evening 42And when evening had come, since it was the day of Preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,   38After this
there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, 43Joseph of Arimathea, 50Now there was a man named Joseph from the Jewish town of Arimathea. Joseph of Arimathea,
  a respected member of the council, He was a member of the council, a good and righteous man,  
    51who had not consented to their purpose and deed,  
who also was who was also himself looking for the kingdom of God, and he was looking for the kingdom of God.  
a disciple of Jesus.     who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews,

Then Pilate 44And Pilate wondered if he were already dead; and summoning the centurion, he asked him whether he was already dead.   and Pilate

      So hhe came and took away his body.
      39Nicodemus also, who had at first come to him by night, came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pound's weight.
  46And he bought a linen shound, and taking him down, 53Then he took it down  
59And Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen shroud, wrapped him in the linen shroud, and wrapped it in a linen shroud, 40They took the body of Jesus, and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews.
      41Now in the place where he was crucifed there was a garden, and in the garden
60and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn in the rock; and laid him in a tomb which had been hewn out of the rock; and laid him in a rock-hewn tomb, a new tomb
    where no one had ever yet been laid. where no one had ever been laid.
and he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb, and departed. and he rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.    
    54It was the day of Preparation, and the sabbath was beginning. 42So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, as the tomb was close at hand, they laid Jesus there.

    55The women who had come with him from Galilee followed,  
sitting opposite the sepulchre. saw where he was laid. and saw the tomb, and how his body was laid;  
    56then they returned, and prepared spices and ointments. On the sabbath they rested according to the commandment.  

Lk 24, 12Jn 20, 1-10
  1Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.
2So she ran, and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him".
12But Peter arose 3Peter then came out with the other disciple, and they went toward the tomb.
and ran to the tomb; 4They both ran, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first;
and stooping down, he saw the linen cloths lying by themselves; 5and stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in.
  6Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; he saw the linen cloths lying,
7and the napkin, which had been on his head, not lying with the linen cloths but rolled up in a place by itself.
8Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed;
9for as yet they did not know the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
and he departed, marveling to himself at what had happened. 10Then the disciples went back to their homes.
