This is the program for the opening of the Exposition of the Shroud and the daily plan of the events until the 22 October. On 12 and 13 August hours and events could undergo variations and changes.

Saturday 12 August, 9.30 a.m., near the entrance of the Royal Gardens (Giardini Reali - viale Luzio) meeting for the journalists, afterwards, at 11.00 a.m. in Seminario (via XX Settembre 83) there will be a press conference held by Archbishop Poletto. In the afternoon the Archbishop will welcome young people who will take part to the Youth World meetings, and he will start their pilgrimage with them (live on tv on channel Rai1).

Sunday 13 August 10 a.m., in Duomo: the Archbishop of Torino will celebrate the Eucharist for the opening of the Exposition with all the Bishops of Piedmont (live on TV on channel Rai1). At 4.00 p.m. pilgrimages will begin.

From 14 to 20 August: every day a Mass is celebrated at 8.15 a.m.; Morning Prayer will be said at 9.00 a.m. in the Chapel of Adoration (cappella dell’Adorazione) in Piazzetta Reale; Eucharistic Adoration until 1.00 p.m.

From 21 to 25 August: Mass will be celebrated every day at 8.15 a.m.; at 9.00 a.m. Morning Prayer and adoration until 6.30 p.m., Evening Prayer at 6.00.

From 26 August to 22 October: Mass will be celebrated every day in Duomo at 6.45 a.m.; then Morning Prayer at 7.30 in the Chapel of Adoration (cappella dell’adorazione), Eucharistic Adoration until 6.30 p.m., Evening Prayer at 6.00.

From Sunday 27 August to Sunday 15 October: every Sunday, the Archbishop will celebrate the Mass for the pilgrims at 11.00 a.m. in San Filippo’s church.

Pilgrimages in vicarial areas

Every Wednesday and Friday at 9.30 p.m. the Archbishop celebrates the Eucharist for the pilgrimages of these areas. This is the schedule:

6 September: Pozzo Strada - San Paolo, Milano - Rebaudengo;
8 September: Parella - San Donato, Giaveno;
13 September: Vallette - Madonna di Campagna;
15 September: Vanchiglia - Regio Parco, Venaria;
27 September: Santa Rita - Mirafiori Nord, Conferenze di S. Vincenzo de’ Paoli;
29 September: Lingotto - Mirafiori Sud, Nichelino, Orbassano;
4 October: zona collinare, Crocetta - San Salvario, Settimo;
6 October: Rivoli, Ciriè, Lanzo;
11 October: Chieri, Gassino, Cuorgnè;
18 October: Carmagnola, Vigone;
20 October: Bra - Savigliano, Collegno - Grugliasco.

Holy confessions: from 21 August to 22 October those who wish so can receive the sacrament of Confession in the chapel in Piazzetta Reale (Royal Square), from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m..
